About the group

The Ross Priory Group for Research on Broadcast Talk, formed in 1992, is an interdisciplinary group comprising researchers from media and cultural studies, linguistics, discourse analysis and conversation analysis who share a common interest in the nature of broadcast talk. The seminar provides a forum for discussion of current thinking and research in media discourse, from a range of cross-disciplinary theoretical and methodological perspectives, and work originating from these seminars has been widely published.
