Trevor Wright autism expert and co-chair of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) Autism Executive Board and Godfred Boahen Policy and Research Officer at the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) will host the webinar which will focus on how you can support adults with autism make decisions about their care as a social worker by communicating in a way that is responsive to the person’s preferences and needs. In addition the webinar will examine guidance by the DHSC (Think Autism Strategy: Governance Refresh 2018), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (eg AutismĀ Quality StandardĀ QS51) and the BASW.
