Donna is a Professor of Tourism in the Faculty of Business and Law. Her overarching interest lies in adopting critical approaches to research which transcend disciplinary boundaries in order to understand a range of tourism phenomena. She has published several journal articles, book chapters, edited texts and presented at international academic conferences on issues including heritage and national identity, visual methods in research, epistemological decolonisation and gay tourism. Recently she has become involved in collaborative research which seeks to explore the role of gender in leadership within tourism academia.
