Business Improvement Districts – reports published online

Today we’re sharing a few free resources on Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) that you will find useful, especially if you’re studying TLH302 (Strategic Planning for Tourism and Leisure):

British BIDs

They publish regular reports on BIDs in the British Isles. A few of their reports are free to access. The most recent report is the 2022 BID Spring Report, which looks at the national picture and data from across the different areas of the British Isles.

The Annual BID Survey and Report 2021  provides data for the BID industry and looks at qualitative data from their online survey.

Culture and Business Improvement Districts: Thriving Partnerships
Published 2017

“This report presents examples of how Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and cultural organisations can work together to drive economic growth and help their communities thrive.

It includes examples of best practice to inspire BIDs and cultural organisations. It makes the case for even greater collaboration, and includes priorities for next steps as well as recommendations for BIDs, cultural organisations, and local and national authorities to help them work together more effectively.”

The Library recently posted about the new book titles we’ve purchased – some of them are related to Business Improvement Districts so if you want to learn more about this topic have a look at the new books.
