A UK CV may be different from the style you use in your home country. The following guide provides the basics of what to include.

Do include:
- Your education
- Your employment history
- Voluntary work
- Skills, strengths and personal qualities
- Achievements
- Interests
Do not include:
- marital status
- nationality
- date of birth
- photograph
- referee details (addresses, emails, phone numbers should not be included)
The Format

it should not be more than 2 pages
- easy to read
- the format should be consistent throughout the C.V
- use one font such as Arial, Trebuchet or Times New Roman
- Use one font size – 11 pt or 12pt (except perhaps for your name which could be bigger)
- Headings in bold but not underlined
Language
- no spelling or grammar mistakes
- Clear and concise language
- Easy to read, no long sentences
- Easy to find information
