Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa
This visa is for international students wishing to start a business in the UK.
International students (from outside the EU economic area) who have a genuine, credible and sustainable business idea (not property related) have the potential to apply for the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa.
What do I need to do?
Once you have your initial business idea, you need to start working on developing it into a viable business plan. To support you with this, we advise that you apply to Enterprise Place at the main University of Sunderland campus. We suggest you begin developing your idea with the support of Enterprise Place at least eight or nine months before you visa expires. This is to ensure that your business plan is viable and robust.
Once you are ready to apply for the Tier 1 visa, you will be asked to pitch your idea to a panel of people. If you are successful you will be awarded your endorsement from the university and you can then go ahead and apply for your Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa.
