Interested in how to create a strengths-based approach in Social Work? Why not attend the free Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE)’s upcoming free webinar Developing Strengths-Based Places – the Next Steps for Strengths-Based Practice.

You can sign up for the free webinar which takes place on 15 June from 1130-1230. Strength-based approaches focus on the goals and resources available to providing care rather than the difficulties involved. Speakers include Jo (Care Services), Phil Holmes (Director of Adults, Health and Wellbeing at Doncaster Council) and Jerry Tew (University of Birmingham). The event has Ewan King Deputy Chief Executive of SCIE in the chair.

If you’d like to get ready for the event in advance visit the SCIE page on Strengths-Based Approaches which offers information, advice and guidance. You can also find a recording of a 2019 webinar Strengths-Based Approach: Practice Framework and Handbook. If you set up an account you can download copies of the webinar slides, the framework and handbook. Take a look at our books too.
