Spotlight on Nursing Journals Week 1: Journal of Advanced Nursing

The University Library has subscriptions to numerous nursing journals that will help you with your wider reading and research for assignments. You’ll find articles from all of the journals featured in this series of blogs when you use Library Search but you can also browse each publication on its own by following the instructions below.

The Journal of Advanced Nursing (JAN) is an international peer reviewed, monthly publication covering all aspects of nursing practice, education, management, policy and research. It is essential reading for nursing students who are interested in the advancement of nursing practice and professional development.

Access for University students and staff is provided by Wiley Online Library. Articles from JAN can be found when you conduct a general search for journal articles from the Library website or you can search and browse the online archive and latest issues directly from the publishers website.

From the Library homepage  click on Journal Titles and type in Journal of Advanced Nursing, select Wiley Online Library Read & Publish and you will be taken through to the journal website.

From here you can either use the search box to search by subject/topic, browse the current issue or explore the digital archive going back to 1997.
