Are you currently on  a social work placement or working in a care home? Then the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) has created a website page dedicated to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Safeguarding.  This page offers guidance for helping adults, children and families and those experiencing domestic violence.

SCIE has also developed a number of useful guides such as Safeguarding Adults During the COVID-19 Crisis which will help you keep vulnerable adults safe from scams and abuse as well as as support them to reduce their anxiety and look after their mental health.

COVID-19 Guide for Social Workers and OTs Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism guides you through what you need to know to support adults with learning disabilities.

Dementia in Care Home and COVID-19 helps care home workers recognise the symptoms of COVID-19, assist care residents who are confused and deliver end of life care and is equally useful for those of you working in social work.

Regularly visit the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Advice  for Social Care page to gain insight into care issues and sign up for forthcoming webinars.
