Design competition run by British Library and British Fashion Council

The British Library and the British Fashion Council (BFC) are collaborating for a third time to launch a fashion design competition to inspire a new generation of fashion designers.

BA and MA students from fashion educational institutions around the UK are being invited to create a fashion portfolio which tells a story inspired by the Library’s physical or digital collections, including the Flickr collection which contains over 1 million images.

The initiative will be continuing with a runway show at the Library in June 2019 as part of London Fashion Week Mens, and in October 2019, details of the next competition will be announced by course leaders in fashion institutions in the BFC’s Colleges Council.

Watch out for more details on the British Library web pages.
