Open Access Resources for Social Sciences

Open Access

We’ve just added some new Open Access resources onto our Journal Titles list.

The Scandinavian Journal of Disability Research turned Open Access at the end of 2017 and is a useful international academic journal for those of you studying health and social care, social policy and sociology as the articles in the ejournal examine how the environment affects a person’s disability.  The articles are reviewed by academic peers which means that the quality of the article is evaluated and endorsed by experts in the field. In addition the Canadian Journal of Disability Studies has also joined it there.

Core brings together research outputs and includes subjects like community and youth work and sociology. Similarly OpenAIRE  covers the former, child development, early years education, criminology and health and social care.  The Social Science Open Access Repository houses documents covering these subjects too. Last but not least a useful gateway to Open Access journals is the Directory of Open Access Journals
