Identity, Community and Social Solidarity conference

Adults sitting in a lecture theatreThe British Sociological Association’s annual conference is taking place under the theme of Identity, Community and Social Solidarity at Northumbria University from 10-12 April 2018.

The conference examines how individuals and different communities can build connections where there are things they have in common as well as where they are fundamentally different. Keynote speakers include KimberlĂ© Crenshaw from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Omar Khan from the Runnymede Trust and Gregor McLennan from the University of Bristol.
