Calligraphy Collection

The Library are very pleased to announce that we now have the Archive of the International Research Centre for Calligraphy. The collection belongs to the International Research Centre for Calligraphy, and is shelved on the Upper Floor of the Murray Library. It is shelved as a discrete collection, and is located near to the oversize collection on the city side of the Library. Items in the collection can be borrowed for 28 days, and are listed on the Library Catalogue.

This collection is perhaps one of the largest in the UK of books and journals on the subject of calligraphy, book binding, and handwriting. It includes a facsimile of the Lindisfarne Gospel which is kept in secure storage. Do come and explore the collection, and consider how it could enhance your learning, teaching or research.
