Museums and galleries: Tate

Tate’s website has recently had a revamp and is an invaluable resource. The Art and Artists section is the first place I visit to find out background information about artists andto see examples of their work. The search function works very well and draws together works, biographies, interviews, exhibition information and archive material.

Tate also produce a lot of excellent research and interactive material. Tate etc. and the Tate Magazine can be found in the articles section and are resources that would be ideal to use in your written assignments.

The weekly video posts include interviews with artists, commentary, criticism, exhibition tours and much more. If you are looking for inspiration, I’d definitely recommend following Tate’s YouTube channel and Twitter feed.
