University of Sunderland BA (Hons) Game and App design students will take over the Murray Library design suite for 24 hours on 23rd March to host a Game Jam where all students across the university are welcome to participate in prototyping and designing game ideas from scratch.

The event is organised by the students themselves in partnership with academic staff from the faculty of Arts and the Creative Industries and supported by the University Library and study skills service. It’s an all day event beginning 9am in which teams of students work intensively for 24hrs to plan, design, and create one or more games. Organised by BA (Hons) Game and App design students it’s a brilliant opportunity for students from other disciplines to work together and collaborate – anyone studying Game Software Development, Animation and Game Art but also programmers, artists, writers, and anyone with a passion for games.

To take part simply visit the library to see the Game Jam event in action and get involved.

The Game Jam will take place in the Murray library design suite on the upper level of Murray Library
